WE'RE DOING
CHURCH
a little different
What do we mean "different"?
GFF operates a little different in a few ways. We use the word "Family" because that is our highest value. We want to look out for each other, be present, grow relationships, and include everyone. This is not an exclusive group, there is plenty of room at the table for more people. We recognize that church events happen on Sundays, but we want to be family everyday.
We even belong to a family of churches. Right now GFF has partnered with Grayling Free Methodist Church to share resources and leadership in order to reimagine how we can be better together. This dynamic partnership is a model the promotes shared stability so that we can focus on spiritual renewal, serving the community, and organizational health. If you were wondering why we had church so early in the morning, it is because we have more than one church in our network. You can learn more about Grayling FMC at graylingfmc.org
Another way we want to be different is by being a church for our community. We are tucked back into a neighborhood, we see this as a positive. We want to be the gathering place for this neighborhood. This looks like a bike wash for the kids, a block party for the whole family, a parking lot to run around, and a playground for families to use. More than all this, we support community organizations like the Otsego County Food Bank, Community Youth Group, and more.
